Modern Log Cabin Scrap Quilt
The bottom edge? Yeah. I ran out of the gray fabric. Which was acquired for $0.10 at a friend's garage sale. There is no way I will ever hope to successfully match that fabric, and since it was a solid, not a print...hmm. I took it to my LQS (which, PS, was my first time. They were nice there - but the fabric selection wasn't very impressive. They had a lot of stuff that wasn't really "my" style). They advised I just use some fabric from the other sides. Cut the opposite side in half. Maybe make all the sides uniformly smaller.
Or I could...do nothing.
Grandma says I should add a piano key border with the prints from the middle. I may or may not do that. I still am not sure what the end goal of this quilt is. Is it a large baby quilt for Cora Madeline? Is it supposed to be a whole lot bigger in order to fit on a bed? Is it just to satisfy my need to quilt without following an intense pattern - to just go with what I have? I know it was the last thing. We'll see what else it becomes.
