Last of the company! Back to "Normal"

So for the past few days I have had company, so I haven't been doing much quilting or family history. But I did spend some time in the garden, and here are some pics.

Marigolds, daylilies, calendula, and sunflower bouquet.

Endless summer hydrangea with sweet peas bouquet! Ahhhh!! I love it!

This shows off the sunflower better.

A spent marigold with a nasty Japanese beetle!

This sunflower is so scraggly! I will not ever plant them in the front again!

I'm surprised that my calendulas are doing so well now. I think they just really take a long time to bloom.

Mini sunflower.

Geraniums in bloom after a rain! Beautiful!

Sweet peas!

Volunteer lettuce and arugula, peppers, tomatoes, and a tomatillo!

Another view of my beautiful geraniums.

Hey, the cucs are growing!

This nasty wildflower is coreopsis? Not my favorite.

Believe it or not, I think the BIRDS did this to my spinach!

But they seem to have left the lettuces alone.

My kids love to eat sugar snap peas fresh from the vine.

A mortgage lifter tomato.

Silly garden helper.

Another, with more drool.

I transplanted the strawberries in hopes they will establish themselves enough to overwinter okay.

 Something likes my green beans.

Worst trellis ever.

Cucumber in the main garden, with some non blooming total waste of time cosmos.

Will this melon have enough time to mature?

Will this lavender be able to successfully overwinter?

Sunflower before it blooms.

All the peas! I'm so glad they grew so fast. Less weeds!

A sea of tomatillos! And either a disease or a bug - but something has been poking tiny holes in every leaf of the plant. But it seems to be doing fine nonetheless.

Yeah, this was the year of the marigolds.

Some squash with *gasp* powdery mildew? It has been really rainy recently.

Volunteer arugula with some carrots.

My cantaloupe, with powdery mildew?

Very viny!

A daylily.

A sunflower. Notice those annoying ladybug-like bugs.

These guys are so tall!

This shows it better. But dang! I will not do this in my FRONT YARD again!

Oh yeah, I did finish this sewing project. A dress for Jane.

Calendula!

Bzz!

This bed turned out well.

Sweet peas!

More hydrangeas.

Is that new growth on my currant bush?
